             Bedak Sejuk. Are you guys familiar with it??? Nahhhh most of you must know what is it right. But  all of you must think that it is useful only for face am I right? Tetttttt ( buzzer beat ) that is wrong!!! that is why you must read our article till the end! So here Atikah and Hafidzah gonna explain to you a little bit about what "Bedak Sejuk" actually is. On 6 March 2017 we had an interview with Siti Rohani Binti Ahmad. She lives in Kampung Pertama Permatang Pauh, Penang Malaysia. it just a stone throw away from Universiti Teknologi Mara Pulau Pinang ( UiTMPP). She is the one who run "Bedak Sejuk" business in that area. Her treasure also known as "Bedak Sejuk Mak Ani" that presenting her names. Do you guys believe that the 61 years old woman still can standing toughly to make this treasure on her own. And the most surprisingly she look so young than her age!!! This is the effect of this treasure maybe. For that time we thought that our we had a sore eyes....huhuhuhuhuhuhu we can't believed it. Based on our interview, she told us that she already made "bedak sejuk" for a long time ago. She learns the step from her great grandmother and continuously until now. So this is the right time for us to share the secret recipe of "Bedak Sejuk Mak Ani". drurdrudurdurudurudurur (drum roll) .

              

First of all:

1) You need to soak the rice (as long as you want) but mostly Mak Ani soak it about 3-6 month. It is to soften the rice.

2) Warning!!!!!! You need to change the water frequently to prevent it from smelly.

3) Before you blend the rice, you must wash it thoroughly until the color of the water become clean.( clear as crystal )

4) While you blend it, you also can mix it with varieties of scented flower such as root of lalang leaves, rose, lime, jasmine, 'kenanga', pandan leaves and other scented flower you like. Perfume also can be use. Also perfumed talc.

5) Reminder to you guys, you MUST use the FINEST FILTER. So that the texture of the blended rice become MOREEEE FINEST.

6) Advice to you, you must mix the blended until it become thick.

7) Spread the fabric (recommended dark color). Take the finest piping bag and then squeeze it into a size of water droplet.

8) Last but not least let it dry for 2 hours, after that take it out from the fabric by using a knife. Then dry it again under the hot sun for at least two days. ( depends on weather)

Another warning!!!!!

-If it not a sunny day, it can make the "Bedak Sejuk" grow fungus.

Another advice:

In case you forget to add scented flower during the process (if you want), you also can slice pandan leaves into tiny pieces and mix it with the dry "Bedak Sejuk"

Specialties of "Bedak Sejuk".

- As a beauty product for your face. ( shine bright like a diamond )

- Medicine for fever, bruise (any part of your body), toothache, blain and pimple, and also cool down your body temperature (if the weather is hot and no electricity...kuikuikuikuikui)

- It is also available for man to use it. So man out there don't be ashamed to use it.

- For woman who suffers from period pain you can add ointment with "Bedak Sejuk"and apply it to your stomach.
